Our Story so far: Inspired by the death of Captain America, criminal mastermind Richard
Vollin has lured Wonder Woman to a death trap! Bound and chained into place, she has been
left under a heavy panel of razor sharp spikes, with a torch burning the rope that holds them above her....

Left alone by the gang, Wonder Woman strained frantically at the ropes that held her tight.
But without her belt and bracelets, she had no more strength than a normal woman, and
there was no way she could break free. Sweat began to bead on her shapely torso as
she strained to find some slack, some room to get her hands free. Glancing at the
torch flame licking at the rope that held the deadly spikes above her, she noticed
wisps of smoke... once the fire caught, she'd be doomed!

Maybe the eyebolt that her ankles were chained to could be loosened? The curvaceous crime
fighter tugged and pulled with her slim, strong legs but it was hopeless. She "mmmpppfff'd"
in frustration, her chest heaving, as she stared at the shiny points suspended above her. 
That torch was doing its job...

Wait! The torch could be the answer! It was a desparate plan but Wonder Woman was running
out of options. She rolled across the carpet to the table and began nudging it with her
head. Soon the table was rocking... the torch bumped close to the edge of the table.. then
success, she was able to knock the flaming stick to the floor! Working frantically to carry
out her plan before the flame set the rug on fire, she rolled to where the torch could char
the ropes on her ankles, trusting that her boots would protect her.

It was working, she could see the ankle ropes begin to char, when a sudden flash caught her
eye. The rope supporting the spikes, which had been smouldering, now burst into flame!
Wonder Woman's eyes widened as she could hear it creak with the strain of holding up the
heavy deathtrap as strand by strand burnt away! She had to move fast... desparately she
writhed and kicked until the torch did her bidding and her ankle ropes parted. With only
2 strands of the support rope still keeping deadly steel spikes above her, she struggled
to get out from under the diabolical contraption. And even as she made it, Wonder Woman
realized that Vollin and his crew had been watching on the monitors and might re-appear
any minute-- and the ropes that surrounded her upper body were still intact...
